RECAP
8:50 PM…..
A Tornado Warning was issued for Northern Dallas county. Intense rotation continued to grow as it slowly moved E/NE.
Around 9:00 PM…..
Another Tornado Warning was issued for parts of southern Collin County. Quarter size hail and strong 60 MPH wind gusts were pounding areas in northern Dallas and southern Collin County. Soon, a tornado was confirmed on the ground most likely between Tollway, Midway and Walnut Hill.
This tornado was the strongest one and the only confirmed one of the night in DFW. Many tornadoes were believed to also touch the ground in this mess but were never confirmed and never lasted longer than a minute or so.
This strong tornado also nearly devastated an entire Home Depot. Damage Surveys and clean up will begin today and continue through the next several weeks. This storm will leave an imprint on peoples lives, that’s for sure.
