| Geminids Meteor Shower 2024
The Geminids meteor shower is one of the most reliable and dazzling meteor showers of the year. This year, the Geminids will peak overnight on December 13 and 14, 2024. Under ideal conditions, stargazers can expect to see up to 120 meteors per hour. This year, the almost full moon might wash out some of the fainter meteors, but the Geminids are known for their bright fireballs, so there will still be plenty to see.
Peak Coverage: Night of December 13th and December 14th. Best viewed after midnight, with peak visibility around 2 a.m.
Where: Near Constellation Gemini, the WNW sky
Meteors per hour: 100-120
